About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Remedial Massage Therapist to join our dedicate team on a full-time basis. This is a stable role within an established business committed to long-term service delivery. The role is essential to meeting client demand for professional remedial and therapeutic massage services and supports the continued operations of the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of high-quality massage services, maintaining excellent client care, and upholding the professional standards of our clinic. This role requires proven technical skills, a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their wellness goals.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- A relevant qualification equivalent to an Australian Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Specialising in Massage Therapy), a Diploma of Remedial Massage or higher (or overseas equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience in remedial and therapeutic massage
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal systems and injury recovery techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
- Good communication and client care skills

- Proficient in performing a variety of massage techniques
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Ability to conduct client consultations, assess needs, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Understanding of health and hygiene regulations and infection control procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong client-service focus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform massages for extended periods.
- Professionalism and a strong ethical approach to client care and confidentiality.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand medical history, lifestyle, and specific needs or concerns
- Conduct physical and musculoskeletal assessments to identify the cause of pain, dysfunction, and treatment needs
- Develop and implement personalised remedial massage treatment plans based on client goals
- Perform professional massage treatments tailored to client healing requirements, including remedial, deep tissue, sports, and traditional Thai massage
- Assess clients’ soft tissue condition, joints, and mobility to determine appropriate healing treatment methods
- Advise clients on posture, stretching, strengthening, and relaxation techniques to support recovery, injury prevention, and overall wellbeing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and treatment notes in accordance with professional standards
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, sanitised, and stocked with necessary supplies before and after each client
- Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and professional conduct standards
- Manage appointment bookings and maintain a professional schedule
- Provide high standards of client care and customer service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Collaborate with other therapists, healthcare professionals, and clinic staff to ensure comprehensive and seamless client care
- Utilise adjunctive techniques such as myofascial cupping, dry needling, or IASTM tools as appropriate
- Employ complementary aids like heat/cold compresses, essential oils, or herbal therapies where suitable and within professional scope
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain and enhance skills
